I met up with this family where they were staying (the gorgeous Beachcomber) on Seven Mile Beach for their family photoshoot. In addition to the Beachcomber being located in the heart of Cayman’s pristine Seven Mile Beach, it has lots of lush greenery that provided us with a variety of beautiful photo backdrop options.

We had a wonderful time together. We played games and laughed until our bellies ached, it hardly felt like a photoshoot. The toddler ages can be; challenging, but by playing games your little will be too preoccupied to get fussy. Play also produces the most delightful, candid images. These are the photos that evoke the most emotion, the photos you’ll preserve on your wall as an everyday reminder of the special memories you shared with your family.

Although Grand Cayman is surrounded with loads of scenic spots for family photography, I’m always particularly excited to photograph at Rum Point and Star Fish Point. Although it’s an hours drive away (which for the Cayman Islands is a long drive) it’s totally worth the commute. More isolated compared to the busy Seven Mile Beach, and more diversity in scenery.
We started this photo session right at Rum Point, before moving down towards the green areas of Starfish Point. The variety of plants here, along with the nice open ground works so well for sunset photography. The golden rays shine through the trees giving a perfect backdrop for portraits and group family photography.
