There is definitely a theme developing in my most recent blogs, where I appear to be taking a lot of shoots at Spotts Beach. I absolutely adore this beach and it has to be one of my favorites on island if not my absolute favorite. The lovely stretch of sand, the dock over the water, the shade from underneath the palm trees the rocky outcrop at the end of the beach, and least not the amazing green turtles. This beach makes for a truly stunning photo location.

With this in mind the location was easily chosen with our two superb models Kamilla & Christien for this great engagement styled shoot. Several wardrobe changes later and after moving around the various locations on the beach we achieved our goal of obtaining all the shots that we were after. With the light quickly fading we called it a day, opened a few bottle of beers and looked back over the images that we had captured. A great end to great day of shooting!

I had the pleasure and the honor to capture Michelle & Cory’s lovely Cayman beach wedding. This fun loving couple were joined by their close family and friends for an intimate wedding on Spotts Beach. Proceedings started with a few glasses of champagne whilst getting ready at the Morritts Resort, followed by their ceremony at the beach. The procession continued at Tukka for their reception and cake cutting.
This couple were such fun to work with and were so keen and excited for their big day…..but they were not finished there! Both Michelle & Cory had spoken about a Trash The Dress session. So who was I to disappoint this lovely couple? A location and date was set for some fun photos where getting wet was a necessity. Molli & James wanted to have their destination wedding somewhere special with bright blue skies, crystal clear turquoise waters, and gorgeous sandy beaches. Blessed with some of the prettiest beaches and backdrops in the Caribbean where better to choose to have your wedding than here in Grand Cayman. Added to all this natural beauty the island has a plethora of luxury hotels including the stunning Kimpton Seafire Resort & Day Spa which was their venue of choice for their special occasion.
The shoot started off with both Molli & James getting ready in their respective luxury bungalows, surrounded by their friends and family, eating, drinking and laughing as they prepared for the days proceedings.
Both the bride and groom were both a little nervous being in front of the camera but soon settled into the flow of things. Their nerves were definitely helped after an impromptu drink at the Anchors Store at the Yacht Club after stopping for some booze on route back to the hotel from their “First Look” shoot. The staff there very kindly gave us all a drink to celebrate their special day!
Once back at the venue and final preparations were made, the ceremony took place on a picture perfect evening on the beach and the happy couple completed their vows.
I had a great day shooting this wedding with this great fun couple and wish them all the best in their adventures together as Mr & Mrs Millett.

I was very privileged to be involved shooting the very first wedding at the fabulous Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa. Cayman’s first-ever lifestyle resort served as the perfect location for this destination wedding. Not only does this hotel have amazing landscapes with picturesque gardens and pools, but also stunning vistas over Seven Mile Beach.

Stacy & David were the very first couple to tie the knot at this luxurious location. The images below are a small collection of their special day. Included are their getting ready shots, first look, beach ceremony, wedding reception, crazy photobooth images and trash the dress shots.

I had an amazing day photographing at this venue. I wish to thank Rebecca Davidson for the opportunity to shoot with her. I look forward to sharing and shooting more special wedding days and can’t wait to photograph this venue again.

Jacklyn’s lifelong dream of getting married on the beach finally came true this past September when she and her fiancé Sean exchanged vows by the ocean in an intimate beachfront ceremony in Grand Cayman. Along with their family and friends, the couple partied the night away at the private ocean villa to celebrate what they both agree was a perfect day!

When it came to their wedding day, Jacklyn and Sean knew exactly what they didn’t want – a stiff, traditional church wedding. Instead, the couple gathered up their friends and family, hired an officiant, and got married on the beach at sunset. After their simple ceremony, the couple celebrated with cracking neon lighting, which became their bracelets, necklaces, glasses, etc and plunged into a stunning infinity pool under the moonlight. Keeping their wedding small and intimate allowed the couple to stay true to themselves and have fun in the process!
