We LOVE Christmas PJs, and Christmas babies in any shoot is ADORABLE! I you have a beautiful space in your home or bedroom we can do the shoot right there! If you have an animal we would much prefer they join the shoot since they are part of the family too! We have accessories just for doggies!

Cats are welcome too! Most kitties are a bit more tricky to work with but we love animals, and have lots of patients so we can get you some fun and beautiful memories of your furry family.

Gerbils and Rabbits are family too. Despite the pandemonium of this shoot we got a nice portrait of each little furrball and a family shot too!

Beach shoots above or below are always tons of fun. We can dress them up with Christmas or photography you, your kids, your pups underwater. We can even pop on those santa hats for extra effect.

I had so much fun collaborating with Sophie & Harriet from Lustic Life! I asked for them to help me out with a fun idea for a photo session. I envisioned our very own Seven Mile Beach, sun dresses, big sun hats, sun glasses, island drinks with umbrellas, coconuts and pineapples, and the ultimate floaties. Nothing says summer more; especially Cayman summers!

If by some miracle you haven’t noticed its really hot out there!  No matter how much I reassure my clients that they are looking like a million dollars in every shot I take, they cant help but feel like a hot mess, melting like a popsicle!
That of course lead to the thought; my clients need to feel great during our sessions, but how can they feel great standing in the hot sand with the sun beaming down on them fully dressed? How can I make them feel great? Thats when I decided this summer I want to promote the ultimate Beach Mini Sessions!

First of all plan for the ultimate fun beach day under the sun! Wear your bathing suits, and bring your floaties! (On Island you can get floaties like this one and more from Belle by Celebrations and lets have some fun under the sun! Im going to be running these awesome mini sessions for the whole month of August! “Me & My Island BFF” so don’t miss out!

Thanks so much to Sophie and Harriet for helping me to create exactly the kind of session i envisioned –  an island fun and playful under the sun kinda day.  You girls Rocked it!

I loved this location session, and it is an especially special one to me as I photographed this little girl as a newborn baby. That newborn session just happens to have been one of my very first sessions when I first started working here at Picture This Studios.

So what an honor it is to be capturing such precious moments such as these of them together as a family even now, a year later! It’s true when they say time flies when your having fun, not just for me and my passion for photography, but for them too, as a family.  To watch their beautiful daughter grow; the first year of your babies life is one the most crucial times. It’s when you really experience so much, and learn so much about this little person that she is growing up to be. You really grow together as a family, and thats the most beautiful thing. Having these moments of your life photographed is one of the best gifts to your families future selves!

Peta-Gaye is from Jamaica and Brendan is from Canada. They met in Grand Cayman, and thats where their love story begins. I had the honor of getting to know this sweet couple over shooting this beautiful engagement session with the two of them. When I am photographing couples who are as much in love as they are, my job is so effortless!  I am just capturing what is plainly standing right in front me,  which is their genuine happiness.

Peta-Gaye wanted their engagement photos to have an island feel and look about them. We chose West Bay dock for their location for several reasons. I love shooting at WestBay dock, it is one of my favorite locations, and for them, I knew it would be perfect because there is so much around this one area that really gives you that local vibe, and is just gorgeous in photos! You have the dock and the beach right there, and some local buildings with those pretty Caribbean colors!  I’m so happy for them, and excited too for them to begin their beautiful adventures in life together. What an honor it was for me to be part of  this…

Natalyia & Bryant were just recently on vacation visiting family in Cayman Islands. Bryant was waiting for the perfect moment to propose to his beautiful girlfriend Nataliya. Not only did he want the moment to be perfect, he wanted to surprise her. He was afraid she might find out as they were traveling together and he has had the ring with him the whole time. After just spending their entire gorgeous day together on the beach, Bryan had heard from some local bartenders at Royal Palms Beach Club that they are lucky because the weather in Cayman has been rainy lately and this was the first nice day in a few days. After hearing this Bryant felt sure that its was finally the perfect moment to pop the question over the most gorgeous sun set!

And thats where I come in!

It was such a pleasure to capture their engagement photos at the exact same spot on Seven Mile Beach that they got engaged! I had a wonderful time photographing this special occasion with Nataliya & Bryant. I was happy to meet this couple, get to know them a little bit, and photograph the beginning of their love story. Here’s how their photos turned out, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.  I find these photographs sum up pretty much who they are together, classy, fun, adventurous, spontaneous, lively, and madly in love!

What a beautiful session this turned out to be! Would you believe that just minutes before these gorgeous shot were taken we had rain, and when it rains in Cayman it pores! Im so grateful that some how I was able to make this happen for this beautiful family! As its not every day that the whole family gets to be together in one place at the same time, you learn to cherish these precious moments and take advantage of every minute together, and you do not take this for granted! We have here a gorgeous family of four, mom, dad, a big brother, and adorable little sister.

It goes without saying that I love my family studio sessions, but I hear from the moms and dad so often that its difficult to keep the little ones attention for so long! Lets face it, we try so hard to get them to sit still and smile for a pretty picture and sometimes they’re just not having it!

 Let me tell you why I love photographing my families on location, and how this could work for your little ones!

Children love to play, and they lose interest in one thing so quickly, before you know it they’re on to the next thing. When your children are playing outside with you it’s much easier to coax them into to doing the things that naturally make the perfect photograph! Lifestyle photos look so natural to me and thats what I love about them! This is whats real in the family and when you look at those life style photographs you have a more sentimental feeling about it rather than a forced smile posing for the camera. Not to say that one is better than the other, just that they are different! It was such a pleasure to meet this sweet little family! Winsett & Dannish are celebrating the arrival of their precious baby girl and welcoming her into the world. It was a complete joy to photograph this mile stone filled with happiness and love. If I can have a part in making such beautiful memories for them, that means so much to me!

I think I met that goal.

Tell me about your favorite part of our session, or why you enjoyed the session
Watching the baby being positioned, we realized the patience that is required to get that one amazing shot and how cute she looked all wrapped up.

What are some words of wisdom you have for other families preparing for a family session?
Be patient and don’t get overwhelmed when your newborn starts to cry. We worked with Tanya and she was very patient, professional and good with kids. I did almost nothing when my daughter got fussy, it was all Tanya she sure knew how to calm her down.
“No matter the experience, the pictures are all worth it in the end.”

While I was getting our studio ready for a newborn shoot, something caught this big sister’s eye. Sitting on the edge of her seat looking across the studio she was saying  “I love that dress! It’s so pretty! Can I try it on?”

 She was so cute! Every girl needs to feel like a princess sometimes. And that just happens to be what our studio is for; to dress up and feel beautiful. So of course she put on the little ballerina tutu and as she started twirling around the room, I started photographing her. When she is older  I know she will look at these pictures and remember that she had just become a big sister, and also she’ll remember that tutu I’m sure!

And I will remember just how much she loved dancing in it.
