I recently had the pleasure of photographing Gareth and the dazzling Veronique for their engagement shoot. The pair will be tying the knot in France on June 20th this year.

Deciding which photos to blog from this session was almost impossible. Literally every image makes my heart smile!

We decided to do something a little different for their engagement shoot and started our time together at the lush Botanic Park. We were spoiled with a beautiful, sunny afternoon and even got photobombed by blue iguanas (which almost had us fooled to think they were statues, haha!). Iguanas aside, the park boasts a plethora of backdrop options and I’m thrilled that we went there.

We ended our time together at a secluded beach nearby. Before the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky was painted in shades of pink cotton candy. A dreamy ending to a perfectly dreamy shoot.

Here in the Cayman Islands, most of the time when we do a family photography shoot it’s on the beach. And why not? Cayman is famous for its glorious beaches with soft sand and crystal clear blue sea. But as photographers, we’re always looking for something different. Personally, I can’t get enough of golden hour sunset photography. This spot with long grass and a background of trees and natural habitat really catches those gorgeous golden rays.
I had shot with this family before (at the beach of course) and was thrilled to take their photos again one year later, this time with some additional maternity photography. As it’s the winter, the sun was setting pretty quickly. But we moved fast and got some amazing photos of this big family. Thanks again!
