Here at Picture This Studios we had the absolute pleasure to shoot the first ever Cayman Art Week’s (CAW) party in Georgetown that coincided with The National Gallery of the Cayman Island’s 2nd Biennial. This was held in the nation’s capital to celebrate and get excited for the Georgetown Revitalisation Project which is aimed to bring life back into the streets of Cayman’s capital. The festivities also provided a downtown venue to kick off CAW’s bus tour to the galleries in the Georgetown area. Everyone clearly had more than a blast, smiles and excitement from everyone of all ages and delicious food and drink from Cayman Cabana. And of course the ART!!!

When I was asked to shoot the performance of the Wizard of Oz at the Harquail Theater I had no idea what I was in for! Quinn, her team and all their amazing participants from Quintessential Movement absolutely blew the audience, and me away! With their fluid acrobatics, graceful poll dances, slinky silks and all the while keeping to the storyline and vocals from the original Wizard of Oz movie. It was modern, full of movement and nostalgic. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

Between the main characters and storyline were some of the most graceful performances, and amazing displays of physical strength.

The National Trust held their annual fundraiser Hatitude this year at Papagallos. Between the custom cocktails by Jaques Scott, all the sponsors including Mercedes Benz and Cayman Tea Time among many others, the special guest Miss World Cayman Islands, the silent auction, raffle prizes and awards for the best hat in the various categories of the Hat Parades, fun was had by all! AND more importantly funds were raised for all of the National Trust’s various projects including the Blue Iguana Conservation Program among their other community efforts. Enjoy the photos below, some of the hats were just so creative and colorful we had a blast shooting this event!
