The weekend is so close I can nearly taste it, and this wedding photographed last weekend has me ready to kick back with a cocktail and live like I’m on island time, oh wait .. I am.

Set in Grand Cayman, a meaningful location for the couple, where George popped the question to Charity. This beach affair is everything you want in a destination wedding with Save The Date planning bringing loads of color, whimsy, and style into the mix.

The Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa played backdrop for this stunning wedding celebration and consider this a Happy Friday, indeed!

Who knew that it was possible to find love on a jet ski, outside of romance novels? Seven Mile beach of our very own Grand Cayman was the sensational setting for the celebration of love between Anya and Roy. The picture perfect couple met when Anya and her friends hired Roy for a jet ski excursion and it all went from there. So it was only fitting that they decided to tie the knot with a beautiful sandy wedding along Seven Mile Beach. Even the questionable weather decided to cooperate specially for the wedding day.

The Marriott wedding was filled to the brim with family from all corners of the earth … Canada, Trinidad, USA and Honduras; which of course led to a high energy crowd with the sounds of reggae and soca there to guide everyone on their feet and to the dance floor. The connection between the couple was obvious for everyone to see that day. Between Anya’s contagious laugh and smile or Roy’s humbling good looks, the chemistry between this special couple was impossible to miss and easy to capture. As an added personal touch Anya’s garter belt had a small Barcelona symbol on it, not just as tribute to her husband’s football team of choice, but also as a reference to their honeymoon spot!

It was such a pleasure to have the chance to capture the affection and enchantment of these newlyweds on the first day of the rest of their lives. Thank you both again for letting me spend one of the most important days of your lives with you!

They wanted a party and celebration of love, not a large and extravagant wedding celebration. Connie and Laurence promised their love to each other, but, more so, promised to keep their friends and family at the center of the day. Their marriage was to be celebrated, not demarcated by a list of things to do. No need for a large bridal party, grand entrance, or garter – bouquet tosses … their loved ones were the party, everyone was part of the grand entrance, and the cake was to be cut and shared by guests. The result? Love.

Warm, soft, overwhelming love, only made more beautiful by the pastel coloured sky and the sounds of crashing waves as the day progressed. Connie and Laurence danced the night away under a string of lights, under a canopy of tropical trees. Together they celebrated what it meant to be loved, wed, and officially married.

Newlyweds, thank you just doesn’t seem like enough. I can’t fully express my appreciation for being dream clients, for trusting me to do what I do best, and reminding me that people get to make their own rules for love. For this (and SO much more), THANK YOU. Much Love and Appreciation …

I love engagement photos and this session was just perfect. Jess and Guy wanted two looks and they wanted to shoot it at golden hour. We meet a little early so we walked down to the beach and sat on the rocks while Jess and Guy had a glass of champagne ?  It was the perfect time for me to get to know them a little better and get warmed up.  The wind was blowing pretty hard so we used the rocks to block the wind for the first part of the session then the wind calmed down and we played on the beach. Once the beach portion of the session concluded we headed to the cliffs of Pedro St James. Monster waves crashing made for the perfect, dramatic backdrop and setting. I primarily shot with a tele-photo and a 50mm 1.2 lens for the majority of the shoot. Can’t wait till the next one!
