CAYMAN COOKOUT 2017 FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

CAYMAN COOKOUT | FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

Some of the world’s best known chefs and connoisseurs appeared at this year’s Cayman Cookout. Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, José Andrés and Emeril Lagasse headlined the 9th annual food festival that ran Jan. 12-15. The weekend of food and drink included cooking demonstrations, tastings, tours, dinners, pairings and other experiences. Many of the events took place at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Hosted by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and Time Inc.’s Food & Wine, the event was created by Chef Eric Ripert, co-owner of Le Bernardin in New York City and Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Among the other chefs who made appearances at the festival were Christina Tosi, Terrance Brennan, Daniel Humm, Tim Love and Roland Passot, along with famed mixologists Charles Joly and Bob Peters.

I’d like to extend a personal thanks to a particular Ritz Carlton employee for the generous event passes to such a wonderful culinary experience.
